Onwards and Upwards!

We're forging ahead and it feels good! We're finalising the product range - sourcing really great baking products that busy cooks will love to use.  The concept is still based on healthy, convenient and top quality.

We're discovering that we can make a real difference supporting the gluten-free market.  Many cafes don't realise that it's not just the ingredients that need to be gluten free - the entire making, baking and storage process needs to be gluten-free.

Onward and upward!

Kitchen Happenings

After a fantastic time in Wellington meeting all sorts of wonderful people it has been time for me to get back into my kitchen and give my teflon and silicone a real workout.

First thing off the block was a batch of my almost famous Snickers Slice which I love but sticks like nothing else. I lined my slice tin with a sheet of the baking liner and pressed in the slice - voila, it slid right off and into my cake tin, and then, just as easily and quickly, into my belly.

Another success notched up so I thought I'd really put the BBQ liner to the test. This time it was honey glazed pork spare ribs. A delicious meal followed by a quick clean up.

Brand and packaging

We're working on new branding and packaging right now. The modern retro look is staying so keep an eye out for the new colours and design. Queen Kirsty and Queen Liz are embarking on sales trips in October so let us know if there's a shop in your area that might like a visit.

Kitchen Queens Debuts!

We had a great time at the Gluten Free and Allergy Show in Wellington last weekend. Everyone loved the product and we almost ran out of stock!  We had great conversations with those who were gluten intolerant and to the professionals who support them.  We certainly learnt a lot and I think we helped a few people too. A very worthwhile experience that we hope (given today's events) to repeat at the Christchurch show in November. More information here.
